A Clare musician and singer insists the introduction of a new pilot scheme will help artists struggling in the wake of the pandemic to live and work comfortably.
Around 2,000 artists will soon be eligible for a weekly payment of 325 euro under plans agreed by Government and with applications for the pilot scheme opening on the 12th of April.
Arts Minister Catherine Martin believes it heralds a “new era” for the sector.
