A Clare student has become just the third ever recipient of the Aisling Murphy Scholarship.
Rachel Mahony from Ennis, who’s a member of Crusheen Comhaltas and already an award winning concertina and piano player, received the bursary for 2024.

The €4,000 scholarship is jointly awarded by Mary Immaculate College and the Irish National Teacher Organisation to first year Bachelor of Education students.
Aspiring Primary Teacher Rachel says receiving the honour is bittersweet.
