Motorists in Clare are being warned of hazardous driving conditions in parts of the county as subzero temperatures persist.
Temperatures dipped to minus 2 degrees in parts of the county overnight, while a nationwide Cold Weather Advisory remains in place until Saturday morning.
As part of its Winter Service Plan, Clare County Council carries out salting operations on up to 800 kilometres of roads in the county, with priority given to national secondary and strategic regional and local routes.
