Clare motorists appear to be driving away from diesel in increasing numbers.
Figures from dealers’ representative group SIMI shows there has been a drop of over 200 in the number of diesel cars sold here this year.
Petrol is the biggest beneficiary, but the number hybrid cars sold here has nearly doubled in the three months to March, although only 84 such cars have been bought in Clare in that time.
