Clare Motorists Urged To Drive With Care Following Strong Winds And Heavy Rain Overnight

Motorists are urged to drive with caution this morning, following strong winds and heavy rain overnight.

A yellow weather alert covering Clare, Limerick, Galway and Mayo expired at 6 o’clock this morning.

Gusts of up to 89 kilometres per hour were recorded at Met Éireann’s station in Shannon overnight, with around 4mm of rainfall in some parts.

There are reports of flooding in many areas across the county this morning, particularly in the Cratloe, Sixmilebridge, Connolly and Kilmaley areas.
