A Clare motorist has been clocked driving over 40km/h above the speed limit during An Garda Síochána’s Bank Holiday Roads Policing Operation.
The incident was detected yesterday in Rosmadda West, Parteen where the driver was travelling 101km/h in a 60km/h zone.

It’s the second notable speeding violation detected in this county over the weekend, after another motorist was detected driving 90km/h in a 50km/h zone in Kilmaley on Thursday.
Nationwide, 2,700 drivers have been detected speeding since the operation began, while 121 people have been arrested for driving under the influence of an intoxicant.
