Clare Mother Warns Workforce Will Be Impacted By Creches Refusal To Take Babies Under One

A Clare mother is warning that the number of women in the workforce will decrease due to the refusal of many creches to take children under one year old.

It comes as the cost of childcare will be reduced by 25% for creches under Budget 2023, but not for childminders.

Tusla ratios require one staff member for every three infants, however, this ratio increases to one employee per every five children over 12 months.
