A West Clare mother is on a mission to prevent people from taking life-threatening tablets following the tragic death of her daughter.
Mother of two, Karley Linnane from Kilrush passed away a fortnight before her 26th birthday in June after consuming counterfeit benzodiazepine tablets.

It’s understood another death has been linked to the tablets in Clare and The HSE has since issued an ‘extreme risk’ drug warning following a series of hospitalisations and overdoses in the MidWest, Galway and Dublin.
Karley’s mother Joann Casey says the image of her daughter dying in a hospital bed will never leave her.
