Clare Mother Highlights Impact Of Fundraising On Cystic Fibrosis Research Ahead Of 65 Roses Day

A Clare mother believes Cystic Fibrosis has the power to destroy or unite families as they learn to cope with the life-threatening or limiting condition.

It comes ahead of 65 Roses Day, an annual fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland taking place this Friday, which aims to meet a fundraising target of 300,000 euro for local and national services.

Volunteers across the country will be selling purple roses to support CFI, in Dunnes Stores branches, shopping centres and other participating outlets, including in Ennis and Shannon.

Chair of the Clare CFI Branch, Deborah Kett, who’s daughter is living with CF says the organisation relies heavily on the goodwill of communities who’ve seen children or young adults grow up with CF or who have passed away from it.
