A Clare mother has admitted she was forced to make the switch to working from home due to the high cost of travelling to work.
It comes as goods and services in Ireland have been found to be over 40% more expensive that in all other EU countries.

A report from the Central Statistics Office has found that goods and services in Ireland were 43.% more expensive than the average amongst the 27 EU countries, known as the EU27, in 2021.
Meanwhile, consumer prices are up 5.6% since last July with housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel costs increasing by 16.5%.
