A Clare mother, who’s daughter suffered withdrawals from synthetic cannabis vapes, is criticising their normalisation after high-risk synthetic materials were found in products nationwide.
It comes as an investigation carried out by the HSE has found synthetic cannabis present in vape products both in shops and on the black market.

Of the 76 vapes or liquids examined, 28 contained semi-synthetic cannabinoids, eight contained potent synthetic cannabinoids, 10 had a compound linked to lung disease and 12 contained traces of cannabis.
Gráinne has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that vapes have become more prevalent then cigarettes were prior to the smoking ban.
