Clare Missing Out On Full Extent Of Income Growth

An Ennis economist fears Clare isn’t feeling the full extent of the significant growth in household incomes in Ireland.

It follows a report from business group IBEC shows that household incomes are growing by 6%, while people’s disposable income has also reached a new high.

The economy overall is set to grow by 4% this year, though jobs growth will slow as we near full employment.


But Dr Micheál Collins, who is an Assistant Professor of Social Policy at University College Dublin, says we’re still feeling a lack of regional balance as Dublin dominates:
