The efforts of local volunteers are being celebrated across the country today, including a number of events in Kilrush and Ennis.
As part of the days events, Children’s Minister Frances Fitzgerald will mark National Day of Volunteering by launching the West Clare Family Resource Centre’s new Volunteer Handbook at their tenth anniversary celebrations in Kilrush.
Her visit comes ahead of the arrival of Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltact Jimmy Deenihan who’ll be in Ennis for the FBD Business Excellence awards at the Auburn Lodge Hotel tonight.
