A Clare man could become the first citizen of this county to win an Emmy award.
Ennis native John Merry has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program’ for his work on Game of Thrones prequel, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

The former architect works on the internationally-acclaimed show as supervising art director, looking after the logistics and day-to-day management of the art department.
Ahead of the awards ceremony in Los Angeles in September, he says he’s lucky to be part of a strong team.
