A Clare man has set off on a journey to walk the entire length of Ireland as part of a fundraising effort to assist the humanitarian cause in Palestine.
Quin native Declan McEvoy began his 600km trek from Mizen to Malin Head on Sunday, and will traverse 25km daily for the next three weeks.

So far over €5,000 has been raised through the iDonate page set up in aid of the Irish Red Cross Gaza Crisis Appeal.
Declan says he felt compelled to lend his support in anyway he could.
