A Clare man who was rescued by Doolin Coast Guard after going missing off the coast is urging others not be afraid to seek help when in difficulty.
Piotr Matijczak went paddleboarding off Doolin on Friday afternoon and after being in the water for some time began to feel tired and succumb to the cold temperatures.

At 9.30pm he called the Coast Guard , which quickly mounted a search operation and eventually Rescue 115 identified his location in the water and he was brought ashore.
Piotr’s told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that no one should ever hesitate to contact emergency services when in danger.
