Clare Man Pleads Guilty To Embezzling €40,000 From Limerick Businesses

A Clare man has pleaded guilty to embezzling nearly 40,000 euro from a pub and catering company in Limerick.

44-year-old Kieran O'Halloran of Keelgrove, Ardnacrusha Co. Clare will be  sentenced in December on numerous counts of theft from Russell's Bar, Father Russell Road, Raheen on dates unknown in 2008 and 2009.

A total of 39,191.67 was stolen from two companies linked to Russell's Bar,  namely Mullally Tavern's Limited and Racefield Catering Limited on dates  unknown between the first of September 2008 and the 30th of April 2009.

Kieran O'Halloran wrote 15 cheques during this period, drawn on Bank of Ireland accounts in numerous denominations ranging from 1,600 euro to  3,943.50.

The 44-year-old pleaded guilty at Limerick Circuit Court to all fifteen  charges of theft.

Judge Tom O'Donnell remanded the 44-year-old on bail until the 18th of  December, when details of the thefts will be outlined.
