Clare homeowners who are in long-term mortgages arrears are being urged not to underestimate how overwhelming debt can be.
The Central Bank says 44 percent of loans in long-term arrears are now over five years past their due date.
It’s also expressed concern that four in ten borrowers haven’t engaged with their lenders and is urging people to do so.
