Clare ‘Losing Out’ Because Of Poor Roads South Of Limerick

Concern is being expressed that Clare is losing out on tourism due to the poor road infrastructure south of Limerick.

The council’s Rural Development Committee has heard that the lack of direct a link between Limerick and Cork means US visitors coming to the likes of Kerry and the Rebel County are put off travelling up to Clare.

The long-awaited upgrade of the main road linking Limerick and Cork to motorway status is still a number of years away.
