The Clare Local Area Network are hoping to preserve the human right of all persons to be safe in their own homes on this Go Purple Day.
The initiative initially spearheaded by Gardaí in Meath which has now grown into a wider national movement is aiming to raise awareness and vital funds for local domestic violence services.

It comes as Gardaí responded to over 54,000 calls relating to domestic violence in 2022 alone.
Chair of the Clare Local Area Network & Garda Liaison Sergeant for Domestic Abuse, Catríona Holohan says funds raised will ensure people can live in harmony.
