Clare Libraries Granted Almost €90k To Imprive Accessibility, Inclusion And Digital Services

Clare Libraries has been awarded almost €88,500 to improve accessibility, inclusion, digital services and the overall library experience for communities across the county.

The funding, provided under the Government’s Libraries Capital Programme, will be used to purchase a range of sensory toys and equipment for library branches.

The investment includes a Cubbie sensory pod for the Seán Lemass Library in Shannon, sensory projectors for the William Smith O’Brien Library in Newmarket-on-Fergus and De Valera Library in Ennis, and a portable sensory room for the Edna O’Brien Library in Scarriff.

The funding will also support the installation of age-friendly tables and seating, along with new furniture for children’s areas.
