Clare LGBTQ+ Community Highlighting Discrimination Concerns

More than 70 percent of respondents to a survey aimed at members of the LGBTQ+ community in Clare say they’ve faced discrimination based on their gender identity or sexual orientation.

The poll was conducted as a result of a short term project called LGTBQ+ Clare last month.

Nearly a third of respondents claimed their sexual orientation or gender identity was not understood when they engaged with existing services in this county.
