It’s hoped a new funding boost will combat legacy challenges for Clare people in need of housing adaptions.
The Government has confirmed a €10,000 increase for disabled people in need of the grant, who can now receive up to €40,000 to install ramps, grab rails, bathroom facilities, stair lifts, extensions, and hoists.

A major criticism of the grant has been that VAT costs are not included.
Clare Leader Forum Spokesperson Dermot Hayes says the increased limits should help.
