Clare Labour Party Call For “Use It Or Lose It” Approach On Stalled Planning Permissions

The Clare branch of the Labour Party is calling for a “use it or lose it” approach to be introduced for stalled planning permissions.

Under current legislation developers can sit on an approved project for up to five years before commencing any construction work.

However with 61 adults recorded as homeless in Clare last month, Labour are now calling for planning permission to expire after just four years to expedite developments.
