Clare JPC Chair Warns ‘Neglecting’ Of Gardai Could Lead To Rise Of Violent Crime Locally

The Chair of Clare’s Joint Policing Committee is warning what he believes is the ‘neglecting’ of Gardai here could lead to a rise in violent crime locally.

Elected representatives made the case for more resources to be allocated to the Clare Garda Division at this week’s JPC meeting.

There have been fears expressed that this county isn’t receiving its fair share of investment, with figures released earlier in the year revealing Clare has the smallest Garda vehicle fleet in the country.
