A Clare infectious disease expert believes the State should consider holding an inquiry into its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It’s after New Zealand announced it’s to officially investigate its own handling of the response of the disease between February 2020 and October of this year.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin has previously committed to an ‘evaluation’ of the pandemic in this country.
Sixmilebridge native and Principal Investigator in the School of Life Sciences in the University of Nottingham, Professor James McInerney, says such an inquiry may prepare countries better for future pandemics.
