A Clare Independent TD insists the completion of the Ennis North Inner Relief Road would incentivise people to walk and cycle if completed.
The partial road has been nicknamed “the road to nowhere” and was originally intended to link the R458 Gort Road and the R352 Tulla Road.

Deputy Michael McNamara believes the project needs to be fast tracked as part of the Clare County Development Plan as he says it would significanly reduce traffic congestion and is essential for the town.
He hopes Transport Minister Eamon Ryan can see the importance of getting this road finished as soon as possible.
