County Clare is in the running for a prestigious international award.
It follows a successful application from the local authority and the Clare Volunteer Centre to become a candidate in the race for ‘European Volunteering Capital for 2027’

Recent winners of the accolade which recognises towns and cities as centres of excellence in volunteering include Barcelona, Lisbon, London, Berlin, and Gdansk, while Sligo in 2017, is the only Irish location to hold the title to date.
