Clare’s Immigrant Support Centre co-ordinator says the upcoming festive period will be a ‘stark time’ for direct provision residents.
More than 7,000 people are currently in direct provision centres across the country, including three here in Clare.
An initiative is set to come into force next year which will see undocumented people in the State receive regularised status.
