The number of housing starts in Clare has more than doubled in the last year.
New figures show there was a resurgence in construction activity here from April to June.

According to the Department of Housing, building works have begun on 245 homes in Clare this year.
It’s just one fewer than the figure for the entirety of 2025.
The majority of the construction took place from April to June, where 145 projects commenced.
Of the homes started in Clare this year, 95 are one-off units, 116 are part of housing estates, while 34 are apartments.
