Clare householders urged to cut down on food waste this Christmas

Clare householders are being urged get creative with the stockpiles of food they are set to ammass for the festive season.

It’s estimated that a third of the groceries that we buy for Christmas ends up in the bin and households could save up to 700 euro a year by cutting back on wastage.

To tackle this Clare County Council have posted a booklet on their website entitled " The 12 Days of Christmas" which contains tips and receipes to use over the coming week.
