Householders in Clare are being urged to take extra steps to ensure their oil tank is secure.
Gardaí are warning that as the cold weather sets in and tanks are filled, incidents of oil theft traditionally rise.
A full tank of Kerosene was stolen from a tank in a yard in Ballybrack, Clonlara, some time between the 12th and 19th of September.
