A new report suggest house prices in Clare are rising six times faster than they were this time last year.
Research from property website Daft.ie suggests the average price of a property in this county is now more than €227,000.
Daft’s House Price Report released today suggests the cost of a home in Clare rose by nearly 18 percent in the past 12 months, having risen by less than three percent in the year prior.
The average price of a home in this county is now just under €228,000, which is 90 percent above its lowest point.
Just 42 new home transactions were made in Clare in the last year.
Clare’s house prices have risen more in percentage terms so far in 2022 than anywhere else in Munster according to Daft, with a home in the Banner now more expensive than in Limerick County, Tipperary or Waterford City.
An average three bed semi detached house in Clare will set you back €157,000, while a 4 bed will cost around €284,000.
A separate report from website MyHome.ie also released today suggests the average price of a 3 bed semi D here now is around €200,000, with prices here rising by about 20 percent in some cases.
This latest research is almost certain to renew pressure on the Government to implement further measures to address continued price hikes.
