Clare has recorded a €25,000 increase in the average price of a home in the space of a month.
The latest Residential Property Price Index shows while prices rose in Ennis and Shannon between June and July, there was a decrease seen in house prices in West Clare.
According to the CSO, a total of 65 sales were completed in Clare across the month, with the average price paid in the county coming in at €260,000, 10% more than in June.
10 of the properties sold were new dwellings, with all of these transactions completed in the Ennis LEA.
Ennis again saw a vastly greater volume of sales than the rest of the county, tallying 52 in July, compared to five in Shannon and eight in Kilrush.
The average price paid in the county town saw a slight increase of €11,000 to €343,000, taking it on par with the price seen in July of 2024.
Meanwhile, the average price of a home in the South-East of the county saw a near 25% spike in the space of a month, increasing from €176,000 in June to €219,000 in July.
No new properties were closed on in Kilrush for the ninth consecutive month, with €218,000 the average priced paid across the eight transactions, down €7,000 from June’s figure.
