House prices in Clare are expected to rise by 7% in the coming year.
New figures from Real Estate Ireland show the cost of a three-bed semi-detached house in the county rose just over 2% in the last 3 months of 2015.
The average cost of such a house in the county is now 140,000 euro, compared to the national average of just over 188 thousand.
Meanwhile, seperate research published in today's Irish Independent shows the climb in Clare house prices last year was among the biggest in the country, up 15%, however there is a large divide in prices between urban and rural areas of the county.
Liam Browne from REA Paddy Browne in Ennis says the lack of supply is driving up the prices, particularly in more urban areas of the county.
