The latest quarterly survey of asking prices on property website Daft.ie has revealed a 13% drop in asking prices for houses in the county, down to an average of 137,000 euro.

This is 56% below peak values during the economic boom.

The report also shows further evidence of a two-tier recovery in the property market, with property values in Dublin actually appearing to rise.

The typical asking price now stands at over 54 per-cent below their peak in 2007.
