Clare Horse Riders Appealing For Motorists To Show Patience On County’s Roads

An Ennis-based equine psychologist is appealing to Clare motorists to show patience towards horse riders on the county’s roads.

It comes after a recent survey revealed more than four in five riders have experienced an incident when on the road with their animal.

An initiative to highlight road and horse safety is being planned for later this month, with a walk, cycle or ride being faciliated from Clooney National School.

Ennis-based Director of Eolas Horsemanship, Maire Gleeson, says a greater understanding is needing from motorists about horses on the roads.
