Clare Homeowners Warned Of Dangers Of Carbon Monoxide

Homeowners in Clare are being warned of the dangers of stoves in your home.

More and more people are moving away from open fires to stoves and Clare County Fire Service says it has discovered incidences around this time of year, where they have emitted carbon monoxide, setting off alarms.

People are advised to turn off gas fires and heating appliances and open windows or to contact the Fire Service if they have concerns once your carbon alarm goes off.

Carbon Monoxide can potentially have fatal consequences and Clare’s Chief Fire Officer Adrian Kelly says that more often that not, your alarm is alerting you to a serious issue
