Clare heritage week draws to a close

An open day at Loophead Lighhtkeepers House, a tour of Scattery Island and Hands on Pottery are just some of the events taking place in Clare this weekend as Heritage Week draws to a close.

Dozens of events have been held across the county over the past five days to mark Clare’s cultural traditions, unspoiled countryside and historic landscapes.

There’s still plenty more to do over the final two days from treasure trails, tours of the Merchant’s House in Kilrush ( until 1.30pm) and this evening there will be a special screening of the Oscar nominated animated film " The secret Book of Kells in Tuamgraney.
