Clare's main domestic violence support group says it offered supports to 612 women and children in the county last year.

Five of them were forced to leave their homes every week, according to statistics published by Clare Haven Services.
Their figures are in a document from SAFE Ireland, which also shows that help-lines nationwide answered 126 calls each day last year.
