Clare hauliers expect fodder aid to contune for a number of weeks

Clare hauliers say they expect their efforts to help the county’s farmers through the fodder crisis to continue for a number of weeks.

Member of the Irish Road Haulage Association have been assisting IFA and other groups in importing hay and foodstuffs from the UK and France.

The group’s President, Bunratty-based Eoin Gavin, has also been liaising with the government as part of efforts to ease restrictions on the number of trucks which can travel between Ireland and Britain to allow extra fodder to be imported.
