Clare has the lowest number of Garda Reserves of any county in Ireland.

Figures released to the Dáil by Tanaiste Frances Fitzgerald show there are just 8 Garda Reserves in the Clare Garda Division.
Other comparable counties such as Tipperary, Kerry, Donegal and Mayo all have at least twenty, while the Roscommon/Leitrim Division has the second-lowest amount at 11.
The Tanaiste's statistics also show that the unmber of Garda Reserves in the Clare Garda Division is at its lowest level since 2011, and has more than halved in the past four years.
Chief Superintendent John Kerin thinks the low number in int eh county may be down to a reluctance to serve in places where they're known.
