Clare has recorded the fifth lowest spend under the Dental Treatment Services Scheme nationwide so far this year.
New HSE figures show dentists in this county have received just over €809,000 for public treatments between January and July.

Only the Local Health Offices of Dublin South-East, Dun Laoghaire, Sligo-Leitrim and Roscommon have recorded lower expenditure to date.
Approximately 12,390 treatments have been covered under the scheme in Clare this year, which ranks seventh out of the 32 LHO’s in the country.
There are currently 14 HSE contracted dentists in this county, which is half the peak figure of 28 achieved in 2017.
