Only two counties saw a greater volume of residentially zoned land sold than Clare last year.
A new report from the Central Statistics Office shows while the value of land sold in Clare in 2024 was the eighth-lowest, the county had the third-highest volume of land sales.
A total of 15 residential zoned land transactions were recorded in Clare last year, coming to a value of €4.23 million.
This was the eighth-highest number of transactions nationwide as well as the eighth-lowest value of land sold.
The median price per acre of residential zoned land sold in the county in 2024 was €119,815.
When compared to other counties where such transactions took place, this was the fourth-lowest in the country.
The median price per acre nationally was €231,171 which is more than double the average in Clare.
