Clare’s Green Senator has labelled the Department of Education as a ‘disgrace’ over what she says is a lack of whole-school ventilation in new school buildings.
135 school building projects are ongoing, which are at or have completed design stage, including 7 in this county, though it’s believed in some cases, these facilities only include ventilation in part of the building.
Legislation meaning schools would not have to apply for planning permission to put solar panels on roofs, which was earmarked from the first quarter of this year, has also yet to be put in place.
