Clare’s Green Party Senator is confident the public are well in favour of phasing out fossil fuels.
It follows a new nationwide survey from the Environmental Protection Agency which found that the level of support for increased taxes on petrol and diesel has fallen by 13% since 2021.

The analysis also shows though that 75% of people are worried they will be impacted by an extreme weather event within the next decade.
Inagh Green Party Senator Roisín Garvey says the carbon tax ultimately goes back into the pockets of struggling taxpayers.
