Clare’s Green Party Senator insists gender equality is not just about equal pay.
It comes as the Gender Pay Gap Information Bill continues to make its way through the Seanad, which would require employers to publish statistics related to the renumeration of employees by gender.

It’s hoped that this would reveal the size, if any, of the differences between what men and women are paid in certain sectors and require businesses to set out the reasons for the disparities.
