Clare’s GRA representative claims Gardaí are in a state of “disbelief and confusion” over the reintroduction of the pre-Covid roster.
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris has announced a return to the controversial roster which will see members work six consecutive days of 10-hour shifts followed by four days off in a 10-week cycle.
The decision has been widely criticised by policing representatives with the GRA expected to hold a special executive meeting in the coming days to decide what action will be taken in response to the decision.
Clare GRA rep Garda Paul Crowley says the new work schedule will result in fewer Gardaí on the ground which will lead to increased pressure on those at work.
