A Scarriff-based former president of GPs’ union the NAGP is warning that a lack of funding in general practice means people are being left without access to family doctors.
GPs from across Clare will join their NAGP colleagues in Dublin today, as they hold a mass protest outside Dáil Éireann.

It’s likely to cause significant disruption to some GP services, with family doctors saying the system has completely collapsed in some areas, due to under investment from the government.
