A Clare member of the Irish Medical Organisation claims communities in this county are in danger of losing their doctor.

The IMO is holding its AGM this week, with issues including the recruitment and retention of staff set to dominate.

Medics say the reversal of FEMPI pay cuts, which were introduced during the recession as an emergency cost-saving measure, is key in attracting people to the profession.
